MSGHL REGULAR SEASON TIE BREAKERS

Teams are ranked on pointstreak with the following criteria:


	Number of points earned in league play
	Number of wins in regular season play
	Head to head against tied teams
	Goal differential in head to head games between tied teams 
	Goal differential of tied teams for the season


MSGHL STATE TOURNAMENT TIE BREAKERS

If a tie occurs after round robin play at the league tournament the following tie breakers are used:              


	Points acquired in head to head competition
	Highest goal differential (goals for minus goals against) for all games played (max 5 goals per game for calculation purposes) 
	Highest finishing order in the MSGHL regular season

Get ready for the 2012 MSGHL Championship Tournament! This is the place where we will be posting all the information you will need for the 2012 Tournament. 


The MSGHL League Tournament will be held Feb. 24-26 at the Edge Ice Arena. Division information is posted below (content/view/118/1/) .

Fees for this year&amp;rsquo;s tournament are $925 per team.  Please mail these fees to:

			<title>MSGHL Tier II &quot;Rock Stars&quot; Update for the 2011/2012 Season</title>

The Tier II teams have been playing in a few tournaments since they have been formed back in June 2011 with great success.


The teams have traveled to Aspen, CO for the 1st Tier II Girls weekend in the Fall Face Off.  Then boarded a plane to Detroit, MI for the Motown Thanksgiving Tournament and then back in Colorado for the Arvada Winter Classic Tier II Tournament.  To wrap it up the teams went to San Jose, CA for the MLK tournament.  The teams have also have played other games in and around the denver area to further improve thier game play getting ready for play-offs.  Here are just some of the results!


The U16 team placed 2nd in Detroit
The U19 team placed 4th in Detroit


The U14 team placed 1st in Arvada
The U19 team placed 2nd in Arvada


The U14 team placed 2nd in San Jose
The U16 team placed 1st  in San Jose


The U16   U19 teams will be playing for State Tier II play-off&amp;#39;s February in Denver. The U14 team will advance to Regional&amp;#39;s hopefully with the U16   U19 team in March also in the Denver area. If all  goes well we will have a great showing in Nationals Tier II in Irving, TX at the end of March.


We wish the MSGHL Rock Stars Tier II Teams good luck as they enter Tier II Play-off&amp;#39;s

			<title>Rule Reminder: period length and mercy rule</title>

Just a quick note to remind all MSGHL teams and scorekeepers.


Division: U12/U14 all three periods 12 minute stop.
Division: U16/U19 all three periods 15 minute stop.


Mercy Rule: If either team is leading by 6 goals or more the clock should run regardless of the period. If the losing team scores and gets within 5 goals the clock will return to a stop clock.

			<title>2011-2012 State Tournament Brackets</title>

This years MSGHL League Tournament at the end of the season will be separated into the following brackets.


U12 Division the top 4 teams (1 thru 4) based on league standings will play for the upper division title and the next 4 teams (5 thru 8) will play for the lower division title.


U14 Division the top 4 teams (1 thru 4) based on final league standings will 
play for the division title. Note that the Select&amp;#39;s Tier team will not be eligible to play in the tournament, therefore if they finish in the top four the 5th place team will take their place in the tournament.  


U16 Division the top 4 teams (1 thru 4) based on final league 
standings will 
play for the division title. Note that the Select&amp;#39;s Tier team will not 
be eligible to play in the tournament, therefore if they finish in the
